Virginia’s Kieth Montana has released his latest single, “uglyman”, his sixth release of the calendar year.
The 16-year-old artist channels punk rock production and melodies to “uglyman”, a song plucked straight out the SoundCloud era. If it aims to revive that era, it is channelling the right energy, granting shades of XXXTentacion and Lil Peep at its core. In line with previous material, “uglyman” sonically and lyrically navigates through the youthful energy that instantly resonates with Gen-Z listeners.
Born in Washington D.C. and raised in Virginia, the young Kieth Montana (real name Mahdi Abdullah) has experienced personal loss that led to creating music as an outlet to release his emotions.
