South London rapper Still Shadey continues the momentum of his 2020 single with its drill counterpart.
After ending his year strong with the vibrant single, “Heaven”, Still Shadey kicks off the new year with a drill remix to the track, featuring exciting guest appearances from grime legend Double S, Jo Joey and Melvillous.
The original “Heaven” channelled uplifting energy perfect for a summer day, delivering exactly the mood listeners needed in an historically turbulent year.
The remix, produced by Sampah, adds a dark twist to the song while maintaining its religious undertones. It provides an intelligent contrast through its eerie drill production, serving as the bad angel on the shoulder to the good angel of the OG “Heaven”. However, the remix still manages to maintain its gospel elements. The quartet of rappers deliver slick flows and seamless chemistry to make up a valuable spin to the single.
