Britain’s favourite entertainer has released his second single of the year, “Day to Day”, featuring an appearance from the seasoned Chip.
Produced by Ransom Beatz, “Day to Day” carries a light Latin flavour, courtesy of Yung Filly’s Colombian origins. He commands the memorable hook and opening verse before handing it over to Chip who takes charge with a playful guest verse. The tune’s lavish nature is replicated in the music video, finding the duo well-dressed in grand mansions.
Speaking on the collaboration, Filly commented: “It made me shed a tear, not because the song is emotional but because I couldn’t believe I had a song with Chip. I grew up listening to him.”
The track is lifted from Filly’s upcoming debut mixtape, following the previous single, “Long Time”. With the confidence he is showing on these tracks, on top of performing at Parklife just last month, Filly is poised to be a successful entertainer-turned-artist.
