Paul Stephan Freshens the UK Scene with “Streets Don’t Love Me”

British rapper Paul Stephan is set to break through the UK rap scene with his infectious single, “Streets Don’t Love Me”.

Originating from Thamesmead, this is the song that’s set to put Paul Stephan on the map, who has been releasing music since 2017. “Streets Don’t Love Me” channels garage energy with heavy elements of breakbeat, offering some of the most refreshing production the UK rap scene’s had in a while. Across the beat, Paul Stephan brings clear-cut clarity in his flows and delivery, as well as a superb hook to top it all off.

The music video, directed by Yomzmotionz, is innately London, shot in Stephan’s South-East ends around corner shops, housing estates and bus stops.

The South London rapper has already received big placements. His 2020 song “Ya Mad” featured in season two of Netflix’s Top Boy, one of the most respected shows in the country.

“Streets Don’t Love Me” is lifted off Stephan’s EP, Streetmisfit4eva, the six-track package released in April. On the EP, Paul Stephan shows his versatility with a few genres, including drill, but it is the alternative lane where he sounds most at home – and where he can stamp his name as one of the best newcomers in the scene.
