Dre Marro Enters Drill Pockets on “The Bounce”

Dre Marro flexes his versatility on his latest single, “The Bounce”.

The underground Chicago rapper combines the old with the new on “The Bounce”, his second single of the year following January’s “Midwest Mayhem”. Dre Marro runs rings around the song’s bouncy drill beat, displaying the dexterity of his pen through slick rhyme schemes, clean flows and a confident delivery – and the wordplay is not to be slept on either.

With “The Bounce”, Dre Marro finds a sweet balance between catering his music for modern listeners while maintaining a high level of lyricism. Not known for tackling drill production, Dre Marro showcases a natural ability to fit right into its pockets for the genre that has taken the London and New York scenes by storm.

Speaking on the track, Dre Marro stated: “I really feel like my producer Colossal Mind & myself have a great chemistry and it shows with “The Bounce”. This was my first attempt at writing lyrics to a drill style track, but I think we nailed it!”
